LLP «Aktobe refinery» is a socially responsible business, based on not only the creation of additional jobs in the region, but also minimizing the negative impact on the environment. The company employs highly qualified staff with experience in this field and industry knowledge.

Environmental issues of the plant are dealt with comprehensively and cover all stages of oil production, as well as the development of products with high environmental properties, the use of which leads to a significant reduction of environmental pollution and influence on human health. Regular environmental monitoring of industrial and sanitary protection zone of the plant is conducted by an independent laboratory of LLP «EAST-ECO».

The refinery staff undergo mandatory training and retraining (refresher training) on the basics of work in the system of environmental protection, regular monitoring of implementation by the specialists of functional responsibilities in complying with regulations and industrial safety requirements, and safe working conditions.

«According to the Program «Industrial environmental control» at the plant of LLP «Aktobe Refinery» performs the following types of monitoring:

• Monitoring of ambient air condition.

• Monitoring the quality of waste water.

• Monitoring of soil and vegetation.

• Radiation safety monitoring.

• Production control of physical factors. In 2014, we plan a range of environmental programs for a total of 10 980 000 tenge.
